  Our mission: PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE MIDDLE CLASS. 

NAUOW exists to organize with and unite the working class (people and unions) by forming a non-conventional labor party and providing a united voice beyond any single company or industry or partisan divide. A voice that demands immediate, actionable, and measurable legislation and results. 

Why?

· Because workers need a voice in Washington. 

· Because Corporate lobbyists shouldn’t get the only say. 

· Because as individuals and unions we might get a little bit of a better deal in one industry, but united we can demand change that benefits all of us. 

· Because working together we can put real pressure on legislators and even lobby to get the conditions that we all need for ourselves and our families, not just in one company or industry, but for everyone everywhere.

· Because we do not want the government to take care of us. We want legislation and regulation that assures everyone an equal opportunity to provide for ourselves in a dignified manner. 

· Because together we can demand that our tax money buys what we need, not what the government wants. 

Because we want our government’s protection of a free and FAIR marketplace where the value of our labor cannot continue to be stolen from us by banks and foreign governments constantly devaluing our savings, our wages, our money, and ultimately our very lives.

What do we demand as a labor party?

A single wage per family for all skilled, degreed, and tenured workers – 

Keeping the American Dream alive. That dream is simple, go to school, get a degree or learn a trade, then get a job and earn enough to start a family and provide for them. This is now literally impossible for over 90% of workers, and at a time when technology has improved production over a thousand-fold so folks should be working less and earning more. And we could be. And we should be. By standing together and demanding regulatory legislation for multinational corporations, we will be able to live the great American Dream once again.

Subsidization of our healthcare industry (not insurance) – 

We want our government to implement similar programs to subsidizing agriculture in the healthcare industry that will benefit the people that can no longer afford even basic healthcare services. It's bad enough that profits are taken before someone can receive life saving healthcare. We cannot continue to allow this leaching of our healthcare systems by companies solely driven by profits.

Affordable child care programs and requirements – 

Presently, both adults in a household must work full-time, with unbalanced economic conditions requiring two full-time salaries to make ends meet. This pulls both parents away from any children they have, yet no programs exist, outside of a public education system for not even as many hours worked, that protects or develops our children, and that doesn’t additionally drain an already financially stressed household. If our representative government is going to allow economic conditions to develop and exist that force its adults to be away from our children, then our representatives should provision at least some form of substantial and safe care for the duration that any “work” must be done. The best way to do that, to "legislate that", is to ensure that a single income remains enough to provide for a family so that only one parent has to work.

Education reform and higher education including degreed programs, technical, and trade skills – 

Furthermore, our entire education system is antiquated, and with the introduction of common core and standardized testing, it has become a daycare for special needs children rather than an incubator of intellect, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and skill development of any kind. Any employer today will tell you that most entry level workers aren’t equipped with basic skills necessary to understand and function in any position. Our posterity deserves better. (if you don't understand what that means, you're only proving the point here)

NAUOW is more than a union or labor party or lobbyists. NAUOW is the entire middle class working together as a unified voice across the country and all industries. Together NAUOW we can improve not just our individual working conditions, but the lives of everyone we care about, by reminding our representatives who they really work for, and making sure they keep our economy and by extension the global economy safer and stronger than ever before. Forget MAGA.
